My partner, Matt, and I are thrilled to welcome our baby daughter, Margaret Rose Hagan, into the world. She arrived at 3:39 p.m. Aug. 6. Mom, baby and dad are doing great.
I plan on taking 12 weeks of maternity leave, during which Law Director Brian Corrigan will serve as acting mayor. Being only the second female mayor in Lakewood, this is an exciting first for our community. I’m proud to be an example to young women that you can be both focused on a career and family simultaneously.
In terms of the city, it’s business as usual at city hall. I’m available and just a few blocks away. I’ve been in contact already with my chief of staff, law director and other directors. So when you need something from Lakewood government, we’re available.
